Subscribe to a streaming service. Then you can use offline playlists. Safe, legal and free (considering how many songs you can listen to I would term even a subscription as basically free music)

Wired are better sounding. Wireless are more convenient. Sound source matters more. If listening to streaming lossy music (eg Spotify) then wireless is good enough since the audio quality isn’t great to begin with. Using lossless streaming service going through a decent DAC then it is a whole other story.

I use Apple Music (nowadays they have at the very least standard lossless sound) together with a Dragonfly DAC and wired headphones. That way I get decent sound while still not adding a lot of bulk.

Why reluctant to learn how to read sheet music? One thing does not subtract from another. By learning basic music theory and notes it is also easier to then play by ear because you “know” where the music is going. Music theory is logical, like math and once you learn it it’s gonna stay with you the rest of your life.

Isn’t a lot of artists pricks? Since I don’t know them personally I can enjoy their music without being bothered by whatever crazy shit they’re doing when they’re not recording. I don’t care about their lives or opinions.

Basically anyone doing a cover of a Bob Dylan song sounds better than the original.

Isn’t this kind of the same as with REM or RHCP? They sound a certain way so you can always tell that it is U2 (or REM) even if it is a new song you haven’t heard before? These bands have a very distinct soundscape which makes them instantly recognisable and I guess that - along with if you fell Bono’s a douche - makes U2 rub certain people the wrong way perhaps?

I absolutely love their early work. “Under a Blood Red Sky” was even the first CD I acquired back in the early nineties… I don’t hate U2. But their material is not as strong anymore (in my opinion)…

The way the society and economy are impacting UK I say there’s a good chance for a new punk wave…it fell like UK is closing in on mid 70s catastrophic conditions once more and out of that some seriously good music came into being.
