How do you think the city should recruit workers?

As a city employee who cannot get overtime, this is really unfortunate. I think the overtime eligible employees should get the new plan, and all the rest should get the existing plan.

As a city employee, this makes me furious. We are underpaid with the understanding that our retirement benefits will be superior to those in the private sector. Why would anyone want to work for the city for low salaries AND shitty benefits?

I live in lower Manhattan and currently drop off compost in bins near my home. Are there any plans for pickup here? Specifically on the LES or EV? Would signing a petition or reaching out to electeds help?

It’s one thing to demolish a building under consideration as a landmark before it is landmarked. But this building is already in a historic district, meaning the Landmarks Commission will need to approve whatever is proposed to be built on the site. So there’s about a 0% chance they will approve anything higher than what existed previously.
