Tesla on self driving is far behind waymo and other competitors

SpaceX has no real competitors as the sector is basically kept afloat by nasa contracts and government subsidies

But I think that's largely due to how Europe manage their space program, NASA with sls doesn't make much better and in Europe we are really adverse to the growth of market competitors like SpaceX, rocket lab, relativity space ecc.

I don't feel it's right to point at Ariane as they're just a contractor that does and bring forward programs decided by ESA

I think consumers are part of the problem. The great pressure on prices to the detriment of durability is really helped by the fashion will of the people.

Just look how often they will prefer to buy a bunch of cheap stuff on SheIn every year instead of less durable clothes because that way they can have more variety and swap outfit more often
