I did research. For example a cutting board. There are a ton of things that came up and I looked into with google/bifl and there was a lot of conflicting information. So I wanted a more recent idea/opinions.

Everyone has their strengths and weaknesses. I thought places like this were where people go to get help from others, share ideas, resources etc. The anger, lack of understanding that not everyone is the same or understands things the same, and need to snipe at others is expected, as it is the internet. I am just trying to not throw the baby out with the bath water, and to work on myself to not fall to the same negative way of being.

There have been a lot of good recommendations and people willing to reach out, even after I behaved poorly. I am thankful for those people and from this point will only connect with those people.

Take care

Hi. I wish to apologize. I jumped on the defensive even with questions like yours, that have no I’ll intent.

I have done a good chunk of searching/research. I was able to find a lot but with the stuff that was on the list I either didn’t find much, found conflicting info, or was worried the info was outdated (meaning the quality of a company has recently ranked). Hope that makes sense.

Im sorry I did not provide enough information for your needs. There have been a lot of good people with good replies here, so Im happy with the outcome and grateful for those willing to help.

I’m sorry you have so much anger and feel the need to be argumentative and right. I’ve been there. Still there in many ways. I wish you the best.

Hmmm. I was finding them online for 8-60k. It was very helpful though. I love the style and those cabinets!

I would be happy to give more detail. I figured perhaps in error that making 15 plus posts with massive detail in each would be spamming so I combined everything. So far I have gotten a good amount of suggestions and feedback for things that have been immensely helpful.

Would you like more detail of what I’m looking for in a stove/oven? I mention in the original post ( I think?) that I wanted a gas cabinet oven. I’m not sure how much more detail I could give.

I’m sorry my post has upset you.

Pics will take some time but if you really want me to send you some down the road If we purchase anything from there I can.

It looks like my city has multiple stores that “carry” this line so I will follow up with them. The ranges under 10k could possibly work for us but I worry about how easy it would be to get it repaired if there is problems. Any idea if the parts are easy to access? Would a general repair person know how to navigate it?

The cabinets are absolutely gorgeous and would 100% work for the kitchen.

Hi and thank you. I have done a lot of searching/research and it has helped a lot. For example, I was able to narrow down a robo-vac through google/BIFL, etc. Things I could not find or had the potential to be outdated or found a lot of conflicting/confusing answers to, I tried to compile from a list already on the go and memory. That said, I get your frustration. I hope you can get why I perceive some of the replies as grumpy.

Take care

WOW! TYTYTY! lol. I had no idea that was a thing. I will pass this one on to hubby as he will understand it :). We don't plan on off-grid but are thinking of "selling" for credit to the electric company and then using the credit in the winter.

It is an older home but looks like upgrading should be easy-ish, though may take a while to get all the insulation redone. Ill look at holding off on the solar until we can do that.

I get that and apologize. I was feeling that vitriol from others from the moment I posted was unnecessary. I became defensive and thus part of the problem. Thank you for that reminder. Gonna go updoot everyone, even the grumpies. I don't know them and have no idea about their issues etc. As they don't know me and mine. Truly, thank you.

Thank you! I didn't even think about the off-gassing. I like the concrete slab idea but hubby wants to be able to access underneath. Tile...... I know that will be more $ but that could be a good option for what we are looking for.

Thank you for your kindness.

Hi. I have been trying to research as much as possible. I'm not sure why the list is ridiculous. I don't expect every person to answer every item on the list. I was hoping that if, for example, someone found dish towels that actually dry dishes, they could share that with me. And just that. Perhaps I should have spelled that out. Live and learn.

Hi. I couldn't find a bunch of the things I was looking for in the search, so I took the list I had been working on for the last 6 months and put a bunch of it here in the hope some people were decent humans. There seems to be a few who have been helpful, so I'm thankful for them.

It's unfortunate how narrow and judgmental some people can be but I get it and try to use it as a reminder to apologize when I do the same. I'll keep this up a little longer in case a few more decent people come along, then ill take the suggestions and be on my way.

Thank you
