A smart enough person would realise that making the world a worse place - by bribing, stealing, etc - would make his own life worse as well: whether that's because he needs to spend more on security to guard himself from the people he's stealing from, or by society not having enough resources to develop medical treatments that may one day save him in some way. There are many ways in which poor actions can come back to bite you.

If water doesn't have a particular taste, does it mean you're not using your "taste" function when you drink it?
When your eyes are closed, do you not see? I do see, it's very black, but with focus I can see tiny patterns in the blackness.
Not focusing on sensation doesn't mean it's not there.

My company doesn't need to hire a professional translating service for our content anymore. GPT-3.5 does a great job for what we need.
They're still hiring actual humans to translate the UI interface though. For now.
