Not really no, conceptually I piggybacked off another drawing I did about a year ago featuring a girl and her "doppelganger" covered in eyes, this time I just picked a different body part for this monster to be made out of lol

Funny you should mention him, I just finished his adaptation of "No Longer Human" and his work always inspires me a bit. He's a favorite of mine too!
