The y axis is clearly labeled. Stretching the "interesting part" of a graph to fill the maximum space is the best practice.

Read "architecture for the poor". Reviving traditional building techniques is not a new idea, but it is incompatible with capitalism. Making poor people self sufficient only makes them harder to control and exploit.

Hydrogen is good because deuterium enrichment has hydrogen as a byproduct. Hydrogen works if fusion power works. That's part of the long term justification for hydrogen tech.
If you don't buy that reason, then hydrogen is a strategy for big corporations to keep energy production centralized. Batteries can be charged with basic wind or solar systems. Hydrogen will always require industrial scale and logistics.

Yeah, that's cause capitalists control all government policy, so nothing will pass that isn't designed to consolidate their power. That means policies won't be effective at curbing climate disaster. You will not be able to live without the corporations. Voting and protesting will not have any influence on that outcome.

It reminds me of a post recently where a guy was worried about always online videogames after the apocalypse. Like, no. That is not going to matter at all.

Lets monoculture all of the wild land so to eliminate the entire ecosystem. Then we can exploit all of the land forever with zero consequences.

Its tough, this economic downturn is going to have to last a long time to kill off the defunct buisinesses that PPP and other govt bailouts propped up. In 5 years we will start to see the new direction. Maybe the same old fossil fuels will bounce back as they will still have capital after everyone else runs out. The climate is gonna take another 30+ years to reach a totally fucked state.

That is the point of the article. Some people got worried, but anyone familiar with the scope of the climate situation knew that that gas leak was a drop in the bucket.

I don't think you are being honest with yourself about the costs of hydrogen compression or conversion to ammonia. Both options require substantial energy. Just because storage and transport has been done doesn't mean it wasn't expensive.

Also, storage is a problem. Natural gas can be liquefied and fed into a distribution system as needed. Hydrogen requires much more extreme pressures and temperatures for that.
You might think hydrogen could just be produced on demand then, but on demand power is already the biggest problem with post fossil fuel energy systems.

Also, your adaptive immune response has somewhat limited capacity for learned immunity. A new infection diverts antibody production away from older responses. You are less immune to everything except the most recent infection, assuming all other things are equal.
