Not to start a whole fight about tipping but that's not exactly illegal is it?

She's an Asshole, absolutely. But tipping isnt required and she paid the bill.

I tip generously because I worked service and retail, but wish we'd do away with it and pay living wages.

Anyway, it's a Private business though, so if they want to ban, they can.

I'll take you at face value here with your anxiety.....you have zero cause for concern. Thousands of massholes do this every single day without consequence, for better or for worse.

You should really address your mental health if something as small as this is sending you into a downward spiral.

I said $30 an hour because I would not work for a wage that equals what I'd be paying for childcare, it would need to be substantially more to be worthwhile. I'd rather be with my child for those years than working 40 hours a week just to pay someone else to watch them.

Career growth potential is the only factor, and I won't judge anyone either way. People should make their own decisions as to what's more important to them. Some will value their overall careers more, and some will value that time with their child.

I'm not a fan of it either, but the gambling genie was out of the bottle a long, long time ago.

Multiple casinos already nearby, scratchers, lotteries and keno everywhere you look, and now mobile app sports gambling, among everything else. Either get rid of all of it or let the tribe share in that blood money.

I got some bad news for everyone. While I enjoyed the hot wieners in Olneyville (especially because they are actually served hot), coney dogs in Fall River still got them beat. There's a reason that there at least 6 coney island restaurants in the city.

Yup. I live in a gateway city in Mass, and this 3 floor tenement down the block from me is for sale once again. I am sure some work was done on it to improve it's value during this time, but no matter how much they did to improve it, it's still outrageous how much it's gone up in a relatively short period of time. Check out this sales history:

1999 $155,000
2015 $136,000
(clearly shows signs of being in need of a lot of work, that's fine, but now the fun begins...)
2017 $305,000
2019 $390,000
2021 $560,000

Now it's listed for sale for $699,000. Not sure about the rest of you, but my current salary compared to 2015 isn't that much different. But these home prices sure are!
