Yes, I believe Claire has three instances in the first book some.
I will say this; I think Gabaldon is a talented writer and she creates great characters. But she uses her parlour trick too many times.

Reply to What other examples like Henry Cavill on The Witcher are there of an actor being opposed to the way their character is portrayed - especially when the actor is in the right? by unitedfan6191
A lot of the cast on GoT S8 seemingly disagreed with the way their characters were written. The most famous examples being Kit Harington, Emilia Clarke, Conleth Hill, Lena Heady, Nikolaj Coster Waldau.

I don’t see why the show should affect your enjoyment of the books. They are such vastly different stories, in terms of themes explored, that I just separate the two.
Plus, the ending of the show had massive plot points straight up invented by D&D.

I wait for the day when we can see the unadulterated disaster of the GoT original pilot. Y'know, the one where it was too stupid dark to see anything (a harbinger of things to come) and Dany and Catelyn were played by Tamzin Merchant and Jennifer Ehle respectively.

Reply to How did the decision to put so much money into the Yellowstone franchise happen? by shahidafridi99
Coz Yellowstone captures a lot of eyeballs. Sheridan seems to have tapped into some previously unexplored segment of the general TV audience.
Yellowstone currently captures more eyeballs than HotD and LoU. On Linear TV at least. Probably gets edged out when combining with streaming.
