Capital Breathe Free is my place. We've been on a course for about 1.25 years and I can eat so many foods I never could before, as well as not DIE in the spring. Highly recommend OIT. It changed my life.

If they like wine and learning things, capital wine school offers classes on basic tasting skills and specific regions. I haven't done one but have heard good things.

They also have a spot in mt vernon triangle called toscana market. They make the pasta in house and I've enjoyed everything I've had there. Source: Am sitting inside toscana currently eating a bowl of gnocchi and vodka sauce

Try the app Too Good To Go. Lots of restaurants getting rid of food near close to reduce food waste. The RASA near me consistently lists a "mystery bowl" for $5.99. I've gotten a sandwich, two pastries, and a salad from Paul for around $6. It doesn't really work if you're super picky but the times I've used it, I've enjoyed it.
