I live here and it's nice but I am trying to understand a travel agent recommending CT specifically as a place to go on a trans atlantic vacation? Have you been to New York or Boston? Way more to do good public transit to get around. CT is right here and you could visit by train fairly easily.

Yes it's a big problem and I wish we weren't so car centric but when I am walking I always try to have reflective gear and a headlamp. Absolutely not blaming any pedestrian hit but I semi frequently see pedestrians walking on very dark roads wearing dark clothes and they are hard to see until you are close and it is very scary as a driver.

Really not a fan of the "cold months" which are for me November - April heh. I generally go south 5 weeks in January/February because I work on a farm and we have that time off. The weather is pretty much my least favorite part of living in CT, but my family is here and I could not stand to live in any of the warm states except maybe Hawaii.
