Not you personally I meant the sub in general. Most Americans are apathetic about the government taking ever increasing amounts of money and freedom from them. But when it comes to this one thing, Americans get very angry; they start to organize against any efforts to build low cost housing in their neighborhood. Look at the zoning laws and building codes. You can’t live in a trailer even if you own the land. Starter homes have effectively been outlawed by the zoning laws and building codes. Most Americans want it to stay this way.

It’s all about NIMBY. Only expensive housing gets built. Cheap housing? NIMBY!!! Most Americans don’t wanna live around “poor” people which is code for black. Your own racism is keeping you a wage slave. Downvote me all day I’m just telling them truth.

Because you keep voting for politicians that refuse to stop printing money. You need to write your congresspeople and tell them you’ll vote them out if they don’t stop.

Is it conceivable to think we could be looking at a decade of high interest rates like the 70s and early 80s?
