Yes. Abbott and Costello Meet Frankenstein was one of the first horror comedies. It is a brilliant blend of genres.
But Blair Witch would be far more defensible on someone's list than the Evil Dead remake or Escape Room. Or Cabin in the Woods.
A lot of posters here have awful taste.

You guys have terrible lists. All of the below movies should be put above some of the garbage you guys are listing:
The Exorcist
The Shining
Texas Chainsaw Massacre
The Thing
Carrie
Rosemary's Baby
Night of the Living Dead
Hellraiser
An American Werewolf in London
Lost Boys
Dead Alive (Brain Dead)
Abbott and Costello Meet Frankenstein
Evil Dead / Evil Dead 2 / Army of Darkness
Return of the Living Dead
Nightmare on Elm Street
Halloween
And there's plenty more to run through. The Evil Dead remake? Really? Fucking Escape Room? You are putting Escape Room over the Exorcist?

Lol. There is nothing generic about the movies I listed.
Liking the 2013 version of Evil Dead over a movie like Rosemary's Baby is like saying your favorite food is a McRib.
