I know some health care workers who quit the industry because of harassment over asking patients to wear a mask during peak Covid. I don't know if that contributed a lot to being understaffed overall, but it's stupid that patients and visitors did not want to comply to a very simple request and instead verbally and physically harassed workers.

Political ads are stupid. I just want a politician that tells me why I should vote for them and what they can do for me and my community instead of just attacking the other person. Those ads immediately turn me off.

I understood what he meant. He just meant being away from your family is like being on deployment. He's not actually comparing playing football to being in the military.
