as u/chris-tier indicated absolutely right, they can ONLY prevent tracking at the IP-address level, all other forms of tracking still work perfectly.

this is why i like using DNS blocks like pie-holes (or i use a fortigate FWF-61E) router that blocks DNS and web-filtering so i have no ads, and all of the trackers literally do not load.
