I have this issue with plastic and aluminum, but not stainless steel (as long as I only ever use the vessel for water).

Passive isolation over ANC. Shure TW2 + negative profile, deep insertion IEMs (like SE846) + Shure olive foam tips. It'll block everything out and then you can use transparency to let sound back in.
