That's so vague it's impossible to tell.

What kind of car. What level of coverage. Your age. Where you live. (No, not asking you to post them)

Those are the big ones that determine your rate. It doesn't sound horrible. Shop some of the online price quote sites and see how you fit there. That will tell you if it's reasonable or not.

There are DIYs. And it's not overly complex, if you are good with tools.

If you are not, it's your house. You will end up saving about 10 grand, given your quote. But it is your house. You should consider the future value of the installation, as well as the value of a warranty.

Ignore the 'town inspector' worries. Mini splits are commonly installed by homeowners. You will need to use a licensed electrician, will need building permits, and potentially may need your main electric panel upgraded to a higher level of service.

Get the facts, do your homework. It can be done, but is it worth do it yourself in the long run.

So much depends on where you are.

Where I am, on the side of a ridge, I have zero OTA service available to me. Calculations say I'd need a 60 foot tower to start getting enough signal strength to view.

If you are in a flatter location, but a weak signal area, you may need to aim that antenna more precisely. There are websites that can give you the exact compass heading for each station.

The beginning and end - you get what you pay for.

" usually run around apartment if food is left out" Tenant fault. Don't be a pig. " took too long to remove" Pick it up and put it in the trash. Tenant problem. " handled poorly and took 1.5 months to repair" Could be a valid complaint, but without knowing how severe, what the fix required was, and nowadays particularly whether there were supply chain holdups, hard to tell. "Due to packages being stolen" Working as intended, unless you want your things stolen. Are you paying extra for them to stay open? Didn't think so. "not turned off until fire department arrives at the building" Working as intended. Apartments are so dense chances can not be taken. "Packages have been stolen previously" Your fourth issue took care of this, but is not enough apparently. "Elevators are either constantly broken" If you are disabled call the state. If not, walk. " stove does not light without the use of a lighter." If the pilot is off, this is normal. Do they pay the gas bill? Maybe they shut them off? "trash is often piled up near the door" How are pigs for neighbors a management problem?

It's a crappy place to live, but you get what you pay for

A microprocessor is a microprocessor. How and what it is interconnected with, and how it is programmed is what matters.

That said, common household products typically use custom chips dedicated to a specific purpose - but many everyday devices can be broken down and used for other purposes.
