The issue is schools focus primarily on two sports-football and basketball. Those are the big money earners in regards to both scouting from universities and ticket sales. Sports like soccer, tennis, vollyball, etc are often overlooked as they just don't interest people as much.

The other issue is injuries. We know how much it costs in terms of harmful injuries and both short and long-term medical care. Football's one of the most dangerous activities a kid can take part in.

As far as arts, theater, music, and other programs those are getting phased out more and more as they cost far more than they bring in. Schools aren't about educating kids. They're about training kids to be money-earners which is why only the programs and activities that bring their schools the most money end up sticking around.

Schools aren't there to educate for the benefit of society. They came about as a means for the wealthy elite to foster a working class for them to exploit. This is why the best colleges are more often than not restricted to those with wealth and influence and why we're not seeing the wealthy in a hurry to implement actual, beneficial free education (and I don't just mean college-it costs a lot of money to send kids to good schools, period).

I get it but at the same time you can't expect people to never go out or to never have someone who's sick in your establishment. You might have the right to refuse someone service but you're going to lose a lot of customers with that attitude.

Besides-before Covid nobody gave a shit about getting a cold. That's what you're going to get 99% of the time. Relax.

It also says it should never be used as apparel or drapery. https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/61K99UTKD7L.AC_UY550.jpg

Do you go around complaining every time someone slaps a flag on the back of a pair of jeans or do you only complain when it shows up next to one with rainbows on it?

It won't end the violence but what it will do is let the LGBTQIA+ community know that we're being recognized as being citizens and people deserving of acknowledgment, validation, and rights, and send a signal to those who would see us oppressed that the tide is slowly turning.

The whole reason we claim to be victims is because we are. That doesn't mean we have a complex. It's a matter of fact. You're adding to our victimization via your attempts at discrediting our plight as a group.

Maybe if you tried having a little compassion for others instead of ignoring the very serious issues and dangers that we as a group face you'd see that this isn't about some dumb flag. It's about the people that flag represents and the absolute horror show that is the way were treated by a large number of this planets population.

It's perfectly legal to fly flags of states, cities, corporations, or organizations as long as they're flown beneath the US flag. Not sure why that shouldn't count for the pride flag, too. There's nothing forbidding it. https://www.law.cornell.edu/uscode/text/4/7

"When flags of States, cities, or localities, or pennants of societies are flown on the same halyard with the flag of the United States, the latter should always be at the peak. When the flags are flown from adjacent staffs, the flag of the United States should be hoisted first and lowered last. No such flag or pennant may be placed above the flag of the United States or to the United States flag’s right."
