No that would be silly. They use the area just before the event horizon of a black hole because they can send the corn dog around and get it back nice and hot just before they sent it.

Aliens also hypothetically use ice planets as giant freezers. They'll just throw a bunch of food onto the surface and let it freeze there until they need it later.

As an IT worker, I'm sick of all the whistles and leering I get when I go to someones office and bend over to plug in the computer that I was assured had been rebooted several times while on the phone 10 minutes earlier.

Well we can make as many holes in the ground as we want. If there’s no water to put in them then all we have is some neat holes for objects of archaeological wonder in the future.
