This looks amazing! What's the basic process on this: take a photo, enhance digitally, add other objects and effects, soften as if painted? Is that correct?

Pretty sure this is completely made with 3D software and maybe some photoshop.

It’s all 3D. Character creation, posing, scene building and lighting and texturing. Even the fog and clouds are 3D

Oh absolutely! The most I do with clouds (for example) is take pictures of very dynamic skies, then replace them into photos with boring skies, and adjust lighting to match. Here, you're creating the clouds and the atmosphere, and it all comes together beautifully. I'm honestly extremely impressed. I have so many questions, but i'll let you get back to your art.
