Hydro flask - over the years, we’ve all collected wide mouth bottles. They are pretty indestructible, my son goes to a nature school. It’s outside. The bottles have a few dings.

I also had an issue with Yeti bottle, it got moldy. I called them and they sent me a new lid. Call them!

Is it the top that leaks?

Unfortunately, all of the ones we have started to leak (no matter what brand) after a year or more of constant use (either nature preschool or daily elementary school use). We just replace the tops and they are good to go for another couple years. My only issue is that I dislike the cheaper replacement top style.

Maybe try a different lid? I have 3 insulated YETI bottles that have never leaked, but I have the screw-on tops.

It’s an outside school! He goes to school on a farm, they have about 230 acres. Some of it is for growing crops, some of it is forests for hiking. Most of their learning takes place outdoors through question based learning. He will have to switch to public school next year because they don’t have an option for older kids. But it’s been a great experience! Check out the book “barefoot and balanced”

I am not a parent yet but I absolutely will! I don’t think (at all) this is about barefoot shoes but FWIW I wear those lol. And it made me thinking of that. I think kids’ education must have been worlds better in the past. Classroom learning is sad, especially these days. It’s a nightmare in public schools.

The book is written by an occupational therapist and she explains why play time and movement are so important for learning.

Those are some true quality “buy it for life” things! You can’t get back the early years. So enjoying them in nature is so important to our family

Dang. Both my kids have those Yetis. They are used constantly, all day long every day (we even joke about them being their emotional support water bottles) and have been for 3+ years and we haven't had a single leak. They've gotten pretty beat up over time, but no leaking.

Maybe Pottery Barn? I know some people whose kids really like those ones.

My kids have Zak! Designs double walled stainless water bottles that work great. They have destroyed everything they've had prior to these. They are pretty dented after a year and most of the paint worn off put holding up. We live high up in the mountains and go up and down 2500 ft altitude just doing errands and almost every water bottle with an internal straw would leak from air pressure change, these do not. We have the kind with the straw and lid that closes and latches, push a button on the front and it pops open. They have a pretty convenient handle which is nice because I always end up carrying them when hiking.. We have tall ones that dont seem to be on Amazon anymore or their website, they can be top heavy anyway and fall over out of cup holders when full, but the shorter ones are still listed. Ours may have been $25? the shorter ones are less. May be worth giving them a try, cant say if they are BIFL as we've only had them for a year but the kids destroyed most other bottles in 6 to 8 months before these.

We have a bunch from Takeya- ours came from Costco. Replacement lids are available, they also take Hydroflask lids. I like the screw-off spout lid (has a small drinking spout with an attached screw top plus a wide mouth) because it is easy to clean and also less messy to drink from- I personally hate straws
