I have no idea how old it is, but it's been in the family for a very long time and now its mine.

I cleaned it up and oiled the chain a little and attached a phone holder on it so I can pedal while watching movies

My dad had a very similar exercise bike that he bought in the late 70s and used religiously until he passed away in 2016. He also had an early-80s Nordic Track that often became the life of my teenage parties when my parents were out of town! 😀

My parents got a Nordic Track also, but never use it, it's in the basement :P

I guess this might last you quite a while but looks like it's only resistance is brake pads.

Modern bikes like airdyne or whatever may not be made to last a lifetime and yep they sure are expensive but you're going to get a MUCH better and potentially full body workout.

This is cool if you want really minimal exercise but it's a very outdated method for training with any regard to serious goals.
