Dad still has his. I have his second generation one bought in the 90s with the variable speed control. Which was a big deal back then. This is rad to see and I hadn’t thought about that drill in forever.

I still have my dads from that era, they don’t make them like that anymore.

Had one of these at a fabrication shop I used to work at. Would run a 1" auger drill through 400mm of hardwood with ease.

These are solid, but you just can't beat the convenience of keyless chucks.

I bet it runs like crap and doesn't have shit for power. I mean its sticker says double insulated even though thats been the industry standard for years. And black and decker is an awful brand of tools.

Solid power tool, I've repaired mine a few times. Still going strong.

I just picked one up at a thrift store for $6.

Looks like it’s lived a hell of a life. Kinda like if you took that one and tied it to your rear bumper and took a short road trip. Works like new.

We have a Bosch drill that says made in West Germany written on it. Still works fine, it drills into brick and concrete faster then the modern battery ones I have used from Black and Decker. You just have ot make sure you don't burn out the motor because it starts to smoke if you are on it for too long.
