German made and built like a tank. Late models can be bought new and are quite expensive, but I got this one for free ca. 10 years ago as a non working unit. Changed the motor for 50€ - support is extremely good and all parts are readily available used or new - and have had no issues since. As evident from the picture, the unit has been through a lot. Wasn't bothered by any of it.

Any vacuum cleaner can be the last vacuum cleaner you'll ever buy, if you think about it…

Sorry.

It looks terrific. That floor tool looks like a 90s printer or modem. How didn't it turn beige with time? White plastic from that era often yellowed.

Depends on the quality of plastics... Vorwerk are kind of insane when it comes to that sort of thing. Let's just say this thing has has its share of abuse and apart from the dust filter cover on top of the main unit nothing has broken.

Have Vorwerk Kobolt, My aunt bought it new. It’s cost was like a small car. But it works like a dream.Everything is easy to change and parts are plenty on eBay. Will never change it for anything else.

They are almost unheard of and unsupported here in Sweden. EBay is keeping mine alive and with bags.

My grandma had a Vorwerk that outlasted her. Even older than yours. If was used regularly until she passed away.
