I think I bought this 40-year-old popcorn maker at a yard sale about 20 years ago, so its second life is now longer than its first. It doesn’t have a shut off switch and the plug gets hot so don’t walk away from it (LOL)but I did the math and it still makes a great fast snack at just 19¢ per serving.

It's definitely sketchy to buy vintage small appliances. My last air popper I bought at goodwill caught on fire.

Dude.... This takes me back to Friday night scary movies with my cousins. A dozen of us huddled together in the floor, lights off and bowls of popcorn everywhere from this thing. Halcyon memories...

Ahhh the nostalgia...melting the butter in the little plastic tray was so cool

Have one and it did not heat as fast or as well as my ostyer air popper. Left too many kernels at the bottom of the bowl. But the construction was stout and unparalleled. So I took the heater/blower fan out of the oyster and put it in this. Now I got the best of both worlds.

I love air poppers!

Does that spinny bit on the top allow you to add more corn without opening the whole thing? Genious.

We had a similar one growing up in the 80s, my dad cut a hole in the side and installed an on/off switch. My parents still have and uses it. I had to buy one at good will, no better popcorn.

This is the one I grew up with! My dad would cut down a brown grocery bag to fit under the chute, then we'd load up individual bowls with popcorn & pour the butter over those.

Man, so many great memories of watching the Sunday night Disney movie & eating popcorn.

I'm pretty sure the wire frayed & sparked in the early 2000s. I just bought a new air popper that has the melty butter dish too.
