One small nonstick pan for eggs, peferably one of the ones with a gimmicky sounding ceramic coating. I dislike nonstick at the best of times, but a man's got to have an egg pan.
Pyrex measuring cups - find ones made of actual sturdy pyrex glass on ebay or in a thrift store, not the new crap that's significantly more fragile. A 2C one is crucial, the 1C, 4C, and 8C ones are nice to have. They're tough and microwaveable and will outlive you.
A stack of cheap cotton kitchen towels from IKEA. Idk what they put in those things, but they just don't fall apart. I get patterened ones, but they end up bleached white anyway.

My mom has one of these and I somehow never put together that you can melt butter on it until right now

It's definitely fun to buy things and tweak them yourself, it's fun to be able to tailor, but uh. Good suiting fabrics go for upwards of 120/yd and lining silk upwards of 80/yd I will Not be making my own clothes for work when 200 is more than enough to get a decent suit jacket off the rack. Midtier cotton and jersey are usually affordable, but that's about it.

On one hand, I highly support handmade wardrobes, for aesthetic, fun, and ethica reasons. However, fabric worth sewing is expensive, and you will quickly discover why average working-class humans have been getting along with only two or three outfits for the last thousand years

Depends. My paper library is mostly my favorite fiction, and a few nonfiction reference books. My ebook library is mostly occultism resources and nonfiction - those are generally the books that I can't afford a paper copy of, or only need three pages from at a time. Lots and lots of old knitting and sewing manuals, too.

You say that, but I have a robot coupe and I use it for every damn thing. It shreds vegetables for the freezer and it makes sauce, and it gets used almost every day. One of those things that alters the way you cook and prep.
