I don't know what I'll do if I have to pick between Dunkin cardboard and driving to Mrs Murphy's every time I want a good donut.

I used to love going here, it was very nostalgic but the donuts, breakfast sandwiches, etc. were good.

Glad to hear it will still be donuts, at least. Luke's is pretty decent and it has the same sort of traditional vibe as the Whole Donut. The brightly colored donut places with the funny or punny names can be good too. But I like the "this is a simple place to get a donut or greasy breakfast sandwich" atmosphere more than the trendier "this is a place to get a whimsical treat" atmosphere.

Went in once and the clientele inside made me not want to go back

Holy shit! This guy thinks differently than me, everyone gets him!

Really though, what's your favorite donut place? It's interesting how even in a small area people have different opinions about what's best.

Gerry’s Donuts is the OG shop - except for that one time they made everybody sick, I’ve never been disappointed

They still sell cigarettes? Classic combo. Donuts, coffee…smokes. Let’s go

Is anyone surprised by this? None of the semi-recently shut down locations had been updated in at least a decade, but probably two or three.

Not that I need my donut shops to be all stylish and modern, but not looking like there might be a family of rats living in the walls is kind of a big plus.

I sometimes drive around and wonder if the owners of these places simply want to go out of business or what? Invest in a makeover that makes your restaurant or store inviting enough to pull some people in, not make them shy away.

It’s sad that an NE institution is on its way out. That said, Luke’s is locally owned and makes damn good donuts.
