Is it me or are most of those dogs pits?

That’s how it is in animal shelters, it has been this way for as long as I can remember. People don’t get their dogs fixed and the cycle continues. Dogs that aren’t pits get adopted pretty quickly.

They do a lot of rescue work in Waterbury (hence the name Brass City). Plenty of irresponsible pit owners there. And of course when little Becky and her family are out shopping the shelters for a dog I can tell you which dog they aren't going to pick so Pits stay a lot longer in shelters.

Because that’s the most common stray street dog.
No one actually wants to try to catch them, for obvious reasons, so animal control comes in and dumps them off to the shelters.
