If you’re able, remove the wheels (they may slide out with some force). Place the metal surface on something solid and pound the bent area flat with a mallet and masonry chisel.

I should have mentioned that -- I tried hammering out the wheels but neither would budge. But your idea might still work, thank you.

You need a 3 or 5 lb hammer and something very solid to strike against.

I use a steel plate about 1/2 inch thick and about 12 in. by 12 in to protect my floor.

The casters have a compression ring on the stem toward the top. Using a pry bar will pop them off.
