Does anyone know how far it’s spread this time and if it took any homes?

I believe this particular eruption has been relatively contained and no damage has (yet) occurred.

This eruption has been entirely confined to the summit caldera and has not affected any island residents besides the VOG that has been collecting on the Kona side.
If you’re wondering about the Mauna Loa eruption of last year, the lava flow stopped short of affecting the saddle road highway and ended. No homes, infrastructure, or privately owned properties were affected.

This photo appears to be from the hiking Overlook directly into the Halemaʻumaʻu crater. . This isn't anywhere near anything at this point.

Everything is fine. Nothing is actually all that close to there and lava moves slow as heck. The news back home made it sound way crazier than it actually was.
