>On behalf of President Joe Biden, the White House has released five principles that it believes should guide the design, use, and deployment of automated systems to protect the American public in the age of artificial intelligence (AI). Called The Blueprint for an AI Bill of Rights, the White House hopes that it will serve as a guide to protect people from real threats to society that are caused by leaning heavily on automated, AI-driven systems.

Man, even OP doesn't actually know what they posted. Ya'll need to read. It has nothing to do with actual intelligence, and far more to do with not letting jobs and vital systems be totally controlled digitally.

That’s way scarier. Protecting elevator operator and horse drawn carriage driver jobs from being replaced is dumb. If your job can be automated away, it should be. Most jobs suck.

If unemployment becomes an issue there are things like UBI that can be used. Technology has been promising a reduction in the amount of work required for like a century but we’re working just as much as ever. If it finally starts delivering on that promise we should get the hell out of the way.

The problem is that technology has caught up, but we still haven't worked out enough of our social and economic issues to support everyone who would be replaced by complete automation. Dramatic pointing at bootstrappers and "nobody wants to work" believers here.

Additionally, any electronic system is susceptible to attack, and as proven by the last roughly 6 years, anyone bored enough and with something to prove can cause serious havoc.
