That’s normal numbers though. Usual unemployment rate in the world is around 6%. It was a bit lower before pandemic (5.4%), increased in 2020 to 6.6%, fallen sharply in the next 2 years and projected to rise a bit in 2023 to 5.8%.

This headline is definitely playing off the fact people would assume it's maybe US or EU or something. Headlines like this infuriate me- communicating information is important but like everything else in our society the spirit of it has been stripped of value and optimized only to generate revenue, in this case in the form of engagement.
