I came here to say basically this! We already feel this way, and perhaps it has in some ways hindered our success!

The proliferation of hate on social media might be too much for ANYONE to bear and be successful, without people supporting you and understanding you and your beliefs and not hating you.

So all those times, my parents were just preparing me for success
