You're right. My boss's boss is very challenging to deal with, and it's changing me into an angry person.

Hey actual good advice for once. If you’re not forced to adapt, you won’t have to adapt.

Change isn’t always good but if you’re looking to improve, seek challenges.

I have ADHD if it doesn't challenge me I'm not interested in doing it. I would just like to see some fruits for my labor at some point I'm tired of being challenged and not rewarded

I feel like someone with ADHD would kill to be tired instead of energized for once. No?

As a ADHD person, it feels so fucking unfair that the only thing you can do, is thinking about thoughts if you got nothing to do and that's building up mental stamina and therefore making your brain work to 120% And that makes me angry due to the fact that i can't stop my brain from wrking sometimes

This is not adhd, nobody can stop thinking. I dont have adhd, i too have this.

Your brain can also not work above like 5% simultaneously, or you literally die.

But i get the frustration nonetheless. The trick is to try and focus on sonething else, like breathing, this is why mindfullness exist.

Though i do see people with adhd struggle to "focus" on "something else" so I guess the point still stands.

Sure, but is someone allowed to just be what they are?

I don't want to be better, I want to be what I am.

My previous job challenged me so much that i no longer have empathy and no interest in everything

DBProxy t1_ja6sbaw wrote

I believe you mean sympathy.

Sympathy is acknowledging that the other person is going through an emotional or physical struggle, supporting them and giving them comfort. Empathy is something very similar to this. It’s actually understanding what the other person is feeling because you’ve had a similar experience yourself or you’re able to put yourself in their shoes.

Thank you for the information, I appreciate it.

I chose the word empathy over sympathy because that's what happening to me. I know some relatives and so called friends that are struggling with depression/anxiety/burnout and though im experiencing the same i should know better to be kind and empathetic towards them but i dont feel anything like do i care? No. Should i ask them how r they doing? No. Do i feel sorry? No. Should i send encouraging messages? No. I see people die here and there on the news, do i feel sorry and care? Wish i could.

It sounds like you're wrestling with a bout of depression, I would highly advise you to get in touch with a therapist. If I'm right it's probably the last thing you want to do, but the longer you put it off the more these feelings will manifest and become harder to handle. It's best to try and nip it in the bud.
