Example if you make $20 an hour - multiple that times two is 40

You’ll make $40k a year

Actual math is $41600 in a 40 hour week over the course of a year but if you’re hunting jobs it’s always good to be able to quickly convert whatever hourly pay they offer

So when you say double, you mean x2,000

If you want to take something extremely simple and add an unnecessary layer of complexity, yes.

Target audience is someone getting offered $13.40 an hour

I would argue OP does make sense. This tip is meant for people who might not know how to do the math.

Ah ok. Interesting! I guess it’s not too hard to do the actual math either, but this works for convenience
