This is a good LPT.
I actually brought the fabric samples home and laid them on my cats for matching before I ordered my custom sectional.
It was a perfect match.
I call this Catouflage.
This would equally fit in shitty life pro tips. A recipe guaranteed to result in many trod on and sat on pets.

My cat is kind of an idiot, he throws himself in front of me wherever I walk. He's been basically begging for me to step on him for years.
wrong. Choose furniture that is grey or brown, to hide the dog or cat hair.
Pets aren't accessories or objects we decorate with.
Groom your shedding pets regularly to minimise the hair that ends up on carpet and furniture.
We don’t kink-shame here.
I failed that LPT. I got a orange tabby kitty 11 years ago. To this day he sheds everywhere on my gray blankets and loves rubbing against my blackout curtains. I brush him every other day and still sheds like he hasn’t been brushed in weeks.
Pets are not decor. Choose decor to match your pets.

My ginger kitty matches the wood floors pretty well. 😹
One of the saddest things I heard in our animal shelter where we got our cat, was the pets who got turned over to the shelter because they didn't match the decor. This literally happens. BTW, whatever colors you choose, cat barf will not match.
…Or get a breed that doesn’t shed
Says the person without a husky
Regular grooming is still going to lessen the amount of hair that ends up on furniture & carpet
Crappy thing about the pets matching the carpet is they blend into photos.
Yes. We messed up by getting a black dog, a white dog, and an orange cat. No matter what color we wear nor what furniture color we buy, hair always shows.
What if I have a Dalmatian?
But be careful before you sit down.
You could take them to the groomer, and once they got home, it would be like you never went.

I’ve almost sat on my dog bc I didn’t see him on the couch, and my fiancé almost stepped on him bc his fur is the same as our wood floor.
whatever comes first, maybe?
That was legit my first thought as an owner of rats.
LPT: only have hairless pets because dog hair is SO ANNOYING!!
One reason you should just never have pets. Stupid
A pet isn’t an accessory. It’s a being you’re going to spend years living with. If you’re more focused on its looks than its personality, you’re setting the whole thing up for a bad time.
I have very little patience for people who treat animals like possessions and then don’t understand why their animals have bad behavior. This LPT is a recipe for some oblivious person to get, like, an apricot goldendoodle and then keep it in a crate all the time because they don’t know how to train it and it pees on their beautiful couch.
This makes me sad. Black dogs are the least to get adopted and people who pick dogs based on just fur color is just… wow. If you’re commiting to getting a dog, commit to all of it including managing it’s fur!
Retro 80's orange and red will most certainly match, or at least complement the puke!!
Can confirm. I have black clothes, dark interior and dark haired cats. It's funny talking to people who complain about animal hair while i'm kinda covered in it but they don't notice even when i'm pointing it out
Btw got my pets before my color choices but they do match wonderful due to my taste. Otherwise it's more difficult because pet before other choices
Here's the real LPT: Don't get a pet if you're going to whine about a creature with fur shedding said fur. That's like moving to the desert and complaining it doesn't rain. Serious detachment from reality going on. Also, pets are not accessories or decorations. They're sentient beings.
sorry but how on earth are you gonna clean it if you can’t see it, no thank you
This sounds like something my narcissistic aunt would say when she saw orange cat hair on my gray couch.
LPT: Choose carpets and furniture to match your pets. They're not an accessory. FIFY
