Overcharging rental owners for super basic simple maintenance tasks. Sometimes it’s putting silicone on a single screw for a metal roof and sometimes it’s hanging a picture or fixing a clogged sink but it’s usually pretty easy and makes good money.

How do you find people who are interested in your service?

There’s such a lack of handymen/tradesmen, at least in my area, you can print up business cards and pin them up at business’s around town. This got so much work for my cousin and I we had to contemplate taking them down. Once you work a few jobs word of mouth snowballs and you don’t have to advertise, just do good work. We do work for locals too but charge a lot less. You can always say no to a job or just bid it super high and subcontract, but it’s definitely worth seeing what’s out there in your area
