There’s such a lack of handymen/tradesmen, at least in my area, you can print up business cards and pin them up at business’s around town. This got so much work for my cousin and I we had to contemplate taking them down. Once you work a few jobs word of mouth snowballs and you don’t have to advertise, just do good work. We do work for locals too but charge a lot less. You can always say no to a job or just bid it super high and subcontract, but it’s definitely worth seeing what’s out there in your area

That snow was much heavier than normal and barely brought us to average so that means nothing as far as your argument goes. And those temps you mentioned are normal so if you average a baseline of 0 with +2 you still get +1. Look at the data, we’re still warmer than average.

Overcharging rental owners for super basic simple maintenance tasks. Sometimes it’s putting silicone on a single screw for a metal roof and sometimes it’s hanging a picture or fixing a clogged sink but it’s usually pretty easy and makes good money.

This would be a time share, and you would find some in Maine but less than most other states.

Burning locally sourced logs or pellets is actually carbon negative bub. When a hot fire is burning it’s one of the most efficient sources of heat and releases so much less CO2 and methane than that same wood would have if left to rot in the forest.

Yeah if you want a chimney fire. You should be splitting the wood for next winter this winter so the statement still stands true.

Seen a lot of the country and I can’t disagree more. Probably seen less meth use in Maine than anywhere in the US. What I have seen in Maine is tight communities where the neighbors all know each other, which is why I think so many more cases are reported.

That would be the 1958 match. The real question is what happened in 1954.

It’s gonna be really muddy in the spring. Like others have said prepare to be isolated at times, if we get big snow melt coupled with heavy rains you might get stuck for a few weeks

Spray foam releases more CO2 than it saves over its lifetime, is a pain to work with for subcontractors, and is also toxic and will most likely be looked at like we do asbestos now in a couple decades.
And I haven’t even mentioned how it traps moisture against your framing causing rot after only a few years.
