You're hung up on finding a comment where he says she lives in rural Maine because you refused to take my word for it. The comment is so devoid of detail that it isn't worth posting. If you don't want to be called a minimizer and an apologist, then stop acting like one and move on or do something useful. Women don't need to stroke your ego to prove they don't deserve to be raped and murdered. You can dismiss it as hysteria, but all that shows is that this situation isn't real to you and you don't take it seriously. Please stop wasting my time.

If you were truly concerned about her situation then you would have done something instead of nitpick and minimize. Leave me alone.

Maine is a big place with many scattered towns. I less one of us personally knows the girl or boy involved, what can we do? Did you contact police with evidence? Yes, you, the person who saw and brought this person to the center of attention. (Before many things got deleted from the OPs account). Law enforcement can only do so much to prevent some random unknown anonymous guy from attacking some random unknown anonymous girl.

Your words mean nothing, especially with such a huge accusation and no proof to back it up.

No one's backing up this person, the issue is with having proof and evidence to follow up with. If this person isn't just "blowing smoke" then they absolutely need to be stopped/seek help.

Another poster added important information, a pic (which has since been deleted) and a direct link to the comment you were speaking of. That's proof/evidence that someone can do something with (like law enforcement).

You can attack all the people who want what evidence you have all you want. The fact is, you're making a huge accusation and didn't bother to link the appropriate evidence to back your words up with.

Personally, I think it's good to be looking out for others when you can. Something like the original posters comments/posts do seem alarming and should be brought to the attention of proper authorities. Unfortunately, unless he's made serious threats to her or caused harm, those proper authorities may be limited in what actions they can take until he actually does something. (I could be wrong, I'm not familiar with cyber laws and the likes, definitely not smart enough to be a lawyer)

What asking for proof and evidence does, if nothing else, aids in preventing a "witch hunt" lead by mob justice. If that offends you, you really should evaluate why you brought this to anyone attention in the first place.
