The GA pit to Pantera/Lamb of God is apparently under 200-250 people. Unless you have GA/VIP ticket, which will gain you a wrist band, you aren't gaining access as there is just one entry. Moshing will also apparently be "restricted" whatever the fuck that means. Bangor's plan this summer seems to be doing everything it can to remove the pit from most shows or charging extreme VIP costs as more of a experience that close to the stage.

I do have VIP tickets, restricted will be interesting when they've called it "The Pit"... maybe they're unlcear of what that means.

When no one can enter the pit does the entire venue become the pit?

it did when I went to see Tool at the waterfront. By the end, nobody was in their assigned seating.

Maybe :)

I believe it's all seating outside of "The Pit" and "The Lawn" though...

I mean every venue and show calls that area at the front "pit", but Bangor events this summer have slashed the size and the number of folks allowed in and replaced it with corporate VIP boxes and additional seating. As for the restricted idea, I have no clue, but assume it's so they can eject people more easily assuming their secuirty can brave their way in.

Yeah they made the lawn fucking suck. It’s nuts to butts on the hill now, abd while I don’t mind it being a little crowded I shouldn’t have so little room I can’t even drink my beer because I can’t move my arms

It will be small and lame, this will be my first metal show not in the pit. Fuck, front row seated tickets where $150 each

I’ve been in the pit for many shows there. It’s fine, and sight lines are generally pretty good, but you aren’t really gonna see any moshing:movement. There just isn’t the front to back room for it, and they don’t sell enough tickets for the area to cause much close contact outside of the first row of two. You’ll be close to people, but it’s never dense enough for there to be much action.

All of the security will be at the back guardrail trying to prevent people from jumping the barricade. They’ll fail 9 times out of 10 because they’re volunteers so why would they care that much.

Interesting... so when Lamb of God calls for a wall of death? I'll be running back and forth solo? Haha

I've seen LoG twice now, they haven't done a Wall of Death in years

Is all that level 100 seating new? I was there in 2019 and I swear that the pit was significantly bigger.

Yeah they upgraded the facility heavily in 2020/2021 it's way different to how it was in 2019 and before
