I had that same bike in the early 90s as a kid. But the frame was red with orange padding.

I loved the brakes on that bike. It took practice but you could lock the brakes and fishtail the back out for a truly epic stop.

In my town, the pediatric dentist and the bike shop owner were brothers. The dentist paid to make sure all BMX bike purchasers got that little handlebar pad for free.

YES!!! I was never great at doing it, but had some friends who could really whip it around. I was better at just locking up the brakes and trying to leave some skid marks on the pavement. :)

Thats fantastic. I was never really into track riding or jumping. I do recall the lower frame pad cushioning my "hacky sack" a couple of times when I slipped off the seat trying to jump a small ramp. Still hurt like hell though.
