Me listening to Beauty and the Beat with Koss headphones while sitting on big ole shag carpet. The giant wooden fork and spoon is just icing on the cake.

Cool picture. And interesting — you look alone but then who took the photo? Did you take it yourself with a timer?

Eh, maybe a cassette deck on the stereo, but other than that, no.

Yup. That’s pretty much what me and my place looked like in 1982.

I’ve got to get a good one. My son got me one for Christmas a couple years ago but the sound is not good. Anybody know a decent mid priced model? How much do high-end ones cost?

I have SO MANY vinyls from the 60s thru 80s that I want to play so bad

Fuck if I know yo, I just got a shitty starter record player. I literally just learned that you should be keeping your records vertical, still trying to figure out a nice site to get records from, I'm like the last person in this entire sub that could help you.

Look into U-Turn or Pro-Ject. Music Hall also has a good entry level table that I’ve had for the last 10 years. Still going strong.

You’ll still need an amplifier and stereo speakers, but those are some of the cheapest modern “entry level” hi-fi tables you’ll find at $400-500. Good luck!
