That comes with experience!
It's pretty easy. But keep studying anyway. I can't remember the site I used bc it was so long ago, but there is a website that has practice tests you can take. I believe they are the same questions PennDOT uses. I'll try googling it for you.
I found the site
thank you!!
You should take the test for him.
This app is very useful for practice and it's from the state. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.nicusa.pdt
thanks i have it <3 how long did it take for u to study the test ?
Do 20 min a day for a couple weeks up to the test and you’ll be fine. The questions on the test were like exact copies to the app when I took it
Good answer to get started! Some people, though, take a bit more time to learn the material. Don't look as it as a test to just pass- study till you absorb, and the answers will come naturally, quickly, and correctly. The day will almost undoubtedly come when that question you went back over becomes a real life situation, and you will know what you need to do. Like others have said, some people are wacked that are out there driving- it could be someone who merely guessed an answer right. Don't be like them, be safe. Accident faults go to drivers who failed to make the correct decision in an emergency situation. Your own life, or that of someone else, may depend on your answers. Keep studying, and you will do fine! Readers, please upvote if you agree...
Oh, I don't remember how long, but I remember I'd just do it for a few minutes whenever I had idle time. Do that for a few weeks and you'll be fine. Just do it casually until you can do it without thinking about it.
The app is the test
I did the app over and over the night before until I was consistently getting 90s and then passed the permit test in under a minute at the dmv. The questions are pretty much the same from the app to the test as long as you have the right app.
Best app I’ve ever downloaded genuinely the most helpful tool possible for the test
I didn't use the app, I just went through all the questions in the manual. The questions on the test were taken straight from there.
I took my daughter to get her permit test two weeks ago.
The practice test app is very helpful, take it over and over, and read why you got answers wrong.
When you go to the DMV, you will take the test at a kiosk. Passing the test means getting 16 questions right and no more than 2 wrong, and what most people don't know is that you can skip as many questions as you like, until you get questions you know. In that way, the test is very easy and forgiving.
As a mother and seasoned driver, I do encourage you to read the entire permit manual, even if you do so after passing the permit test. Understanding the rules of the road is very important because, as you will soon learn, a vital part of driving is learning to expect how other drivers will behave, as well as making your behavior understandable to them. Good luck!
It's a little too easy if you ask me. Most of these people shouldn't have a license...
I passed it first try by using the app a bunch. That’d be my recommendation. The driver’s test was worse. It’s important to study parallel parking for sure, but don’t focus too much on it. I aced the parallel parking cause that was basically all I practiced, but I almost failed the other part.
I took the test back in 07 and passed first try. Many of the questions were stupid easy. Stuff like “what do you do at a stop sign?”. A few questions may try and trip you up like all tests. For example, “who has the right of way at a green traffic light (answer: Almost anyone going straight. Folks turning from the left have to yield to oncoming traffic. Folks turning right on red can do so unless otherwise stated but yield to oncoming traffic.). That is the extent of questions that call for actual thinking, if I remember. The test might be more challenging now, but I taught my girlfriend how to drive 2 years ago and based off the driving test (which hasn’t changed), I’m willing to bet the permit test is still easy.
Study all the chapters and you’ll be fine. Good luck! Use the aforementioned apps as well.
Well nobody around southeastern PA knows the rules anyway, so if you're from that area don't worry about it. Since moving here, I consider it lucky if the guy in front of me understands that green lights mean go. All jokes aside, the driving rules are easy.
Just for fucks sake please learn how right of way works and stick to it. There is so much idiocy that all starts with some moron who thinks they're being nice or smart by letting someone go. Stick to the rules and eventually you will learn when it is optimal and appropriate to try to do that stuff
In Philly, all lights and signs are suggestions.

Then I suggest you better get to reading. I don't want you on the road if you don't know the rules.
When I rushed my written test I ended up taking it twice.
Just study it. Will make you a better driver and better drivers are needed around here.
Keep reading, why would you stop?
Know what the road signs/paint means, know your responsiblity when driving and whose go it is on the road. If you go anywhere with roads, watch and see what people do.
It isn't super hard.
I'm not entirely sure about the drivers permit test, but I did the motorcycle permit test a few years back. In the back of the handbook, there were like 50 multiple choice practice questions. When i took the actual test, it turned out to be the exact same questions.

just study until you get less than 3 wrong every time. it’s super easy. easily took me less than 3 hours of studying
thanks i’m gonna try this
Listen to all the advice below and you'll be fine my stepdaughter took it last week and pass a flying colors

It's easy. Just remember, passing it doesn't make you competent.
Is the test more difficult than it used to be? Did mine in 2003, and I remember it being common sense questions with multiple choice.
Spend like 20 min per chapter. Do a chapter a day. When I took it in 2017, it was like 18 questions and you could get 3 wrong. It’s all multiple choice and mostly common sense. The questions are randomized so no two tests are the same. When you take it, just read through the question fully and take your time.
I would say you should read the rest of the book at least.
I never read the book before I took the permit test. I started reading it as I was waiting for it and passed it. /shrug

The laws of the road in PA aren't difficult to master. Not driving like an ignorant, aggressive asshole seems to be the bigger challenge. Don't be that asshole.
