Perkasie should be #1 considering they founded tree lighting

Bellefonte is definitely a good one too

Honestly, keep your $80+ and DON’T do Hershey. Maybe the town itself but HersheyPark is not worth the money imo.

It's not far from New Hope, so I imagine that's why they left it off. It certainly deserves a visit if you're in Eastern PA. Most Pennsylvanians might go right by it on their way to New Hope anyway!

Hahaha I live in Indiana, and Christmas is pretty amazing here, but I don't know if it's worth a trip across the state. I moved here two years ago from SC, and I was pretty surprised at how hard everyone here goes on Christmas

Dickens Christmas in Wellsboro is actually pretty fun.

Yeah you are better off going to longwood gardens at that price tag if you want sonething fancy.

Gonna reverse hallmark this shit, ill go there and convince a small town girl that Christmas sucks and she should become a business woman in NYC

Where tf does Bethlehem have horse drawn carriage rides?

North side in the Main Street area. Not sure where they pick up though

Yeah, I got excited before I actually read the list...

Not worth that long drive.

Knoebles Grove is the one to visit

if you do go to Hershey Park, they offer twilight tickets at a more decent price, and going after the kids go back to school in August is a lot better
edit: Chocolate World is cool, part of it is just a huge gift shop, but the "how chocolate is made" ride is informative
BamitzSam101 t1_iy5n9rc wrote
Agreed! Knoebels is much smaller, but better priced and have very fun rides

As someone who goes to college in Bethlehem, Christmas is really pretty here. Main Street is full of lights, and yes... There are horse-drawn carriages.

How do you do that ?

Ill start by watching hallmark movies in reverse, then ill brainwash her into thinking the original love interest is the good guy in the story

Just throwing this out there but technically there's only one town in Pennsylvania; Bloomsburg. Not sure exactly why that is but everything else in the state is either a city, township, or borough.
webauteur t1_iy7x7rz wrote
I've been there a few times on bus trips. Oddly enough, they never offered bus trips to New Hope.

Only an hour's drive for me.

You are being pedantic. ;) But I approved your comment. Not sure why it was flagged.

Any good suggestions for small, quaint areas within a 2 hour drive radius of the PIT Airport?
oldschoolskater OP t1_iy84pz3 wrote
Here's a neat little town I visited recently. Will go back again to explore more. About 45 minutes from the airport.
wagsman t1_iy3q8mb wrote
Lol, they threw Indiana and Wellsboro in so people wouldnt call BS on them picking towns in the South Eastern quadrant of the state.
