We attended 6 wedding last year, 3 at the same venue. We didn’t love any of those places. They were nice but we want something different than where other friends went.

We eloped in Elkton MD. Total spent 300.00 .
My husband and I got married at the Warrington. We looked at a ton of venues in the county and settled on the Warrington as the best value for the price. We did get married on a Sunday too, so that helped. We loved the food and the staff were amazing. Can’t recommend it enough.
Celebrations in Bensalem
Fonthill Castle in Doylestown is relatively inexpensive (considering it's a castle) and if I were getting married today I would definitely look into that.
At the Liederkranz. It was almost 20 years ago. We did justice of the peace for wedding and reception was on site, same location. We spent about 3k for everything. Bar was not open, you had to pay for drinks. We chose that, as my wife and I do not drink.
Olde Homestead Golf Club in New Tripoli. The food was absolutely amazing and I wouldn't change a single thing. Total cost about 7500 (food, tables/chairs & decor, event coordinator, reception & ceremony space, and open bar).
Spring mill country club. Super nice staff and beautiful place. VERY EXPENSIVE tho.
Not Bucks County, but The Barn at Greenwood in Columbia County, just outside of Bloomsburg. Beautiful setting, and the flexibility to pick and choose all of your vendors or DIY your own wedding for catering, etc
Knowlton Mansion in NE Philly. Just outside lower bucks…
Kirkridge Retreat Center...outside with inside hall reserved. Cost us nothing...family and friends paid for rooms which covered the cost. Many friends camped out. It was a 2 day lovefest with both families and friends hanging out, singing, camp fire, bbq
Pen Ryn Mansion
Wayside Chapel, Whitemarsh Memorial Park. Small intimate place. Was baptized there, and my parents got married there.
This is the way.
Army War College in Carlisle, PA.
We aren't military but their space is exquisite with on site catering, full bat service, lovely grounds for outside ceremony, etc. And affordable as weddings go (rental, catering and open bar for 200 people was 20k)
Downsides: all guests must be accounted for on your guest list, thorough check before getting on base, and you can't bring your own alcohol on base. The rules are thorough but it was an amazing location.
Feed your photographer, video Grapher, and DJ's and you'll have a great time.
A fire hall, but that was years ago. A friend got married at Stovers Mill but had their reception at a different venue (name escapes me right now)
Durham Hill is beautiful if you are looking for a country setting. You just have to get a catering company to come out.
Did a Quaker self officiating wedding. $65 all done. Got married at our kitchen counter and went out for dinner. Best $65 I ever spent.
I'm in the minority here, but I didn't have a ceremony. We just signed papers at my in-laws and ate cake. For anyone interested, just gotta specify during your marriage license interview that you'd like the self-uniting license. It wasn't any more expensive for me in York County than a regular ceremony with an officiant would have been, $70 I think. It's as affordable as you can get!

Got married in October at Historic Acres of Hershey in Elizabethtown, PA. Its a beautiful venue. We got the elopement package for around 1k. Included an officiant (religious or non religious), cake and champagne for a toast.
Sand Castle Winery in Tinicum
Aldi Mansion in Doylestown, Sunday afternoon ceremony was very affordable and it helped that we could bring in our own liquor (we had signature cocktails, beer and wine)
Springton Manor in Chester County. It was 21 years ago though.
I'm getting married in Bucks County in June! I spent a lot of time researching and touring venues recently, gathering prices, so on.
What's the budget and how many people? Time of year? Are you open to weekdays or Sundays? Or does it have to be a Saturday?
Folino Winery by Kutztown. Beautiful location with new buildings and delicious food, but probably way more expensive now than s few years ago when I got married. They also have a nice ceremony spot.
Honestly if I could go back would do something much smaller and cheaper.
We are still fresh to the experience so a lot is up in the air. We are thinking <150 people and it has to be a Saturday. Spring of 2024 or fall of 2024
It’ll be tough to do for less than $25k! Unless you’re open to a firehouse hall or something like that.
We’re paying $22k for a Thursday and that’s just venue + catering. All-in it’ll be a little over $30k for approx. 125 people!
I would check out Nostalgia 1720! Their prices were pretty reasonable! Also, The Warrington was super affordable and their package even included fresh flower arrangements last time I checked! Also, Joseph Ambler Inn was on the cheaper (relatively speaking) side!
All of the barns and historic venues around here are misleading! Sure, the site fee might be as low as $4k but that’s only to let you use the physical space. Then you have to bring in catering and that’s where the $$$ goes! Also a lot of people attend as guests at these venues them assume they must be cheap. Ohhhh no. Durham Hill farm? Site fee is $10,000. Lol!
Aldie, Mitchener, Mercer Museum, and Fonthill we’re all going to be around $30k for 125 people. That’s including photography and DJ and stuff! Catering alone at those venues was going to run $15k+.
We eloped using the bucks county Quaker self uniting marriage. Was a zoom call with the clerk and and they sent us the paper work. Signed it with our parents as witnesses in our kitchen. Total cost of $60. Ended up cancelling our wedding we started to plan and saved $15k but still did a nice honeymoon in Turks and Caicos.
We did the same thing! Did a nice honeymoon afterwards though, still better than dropping 15k for one day.

My son got married at Bowman's Hill Wildflower Preserve. It was lovely and not too expensive.
