It's not a state school, same with temple. They are public "state-related" institutions, pretty much allows them to get state funding and then blow it on dumb campus building projects and admin bloat. With how their grant structure worked for me, I was able to go to temple and save about 25k over 4 years compared to attending bloomsburg university, a university that is actually in the state system of higher education.

Source: Am temple grad, their current president is garbage right now.

When I did rideshare in college, I just saved 20% off all my income from it for taxes. Kept a mileage log too which ended up keeping most of that saved tax money in my pocket. Turbo tax schedule C will be your friend, I know Uber/lyft provided free TurboTax when I did it years ago.

Federal jury duty is probably way less lenient than county jury duty. I would Check the federal court website not the state court site. Last time I got summoned I wrote them a letter stating I would be out of state and our lodging was non-refundable. Told them I would be willing to make it up in the future, but they ended up excluding me and haven’t heard from them since.

I just got hired as a remote state employee (non-union, management), I was told that I am expected to come in every once in a while for project related items and office wide meetings and the expectation is work from home 99% of the time. I don’t even think I’ll have a desk space in Harrisburg. The team was hired from all over the state so I think some departments and agencies are handling it different than others.

This isn’t that surprising to say the least. Over the past year or so their quality of service has dropped significantly. I’m literally considering starting my chronic treatment plan all over again at geisinger instead. It’s gotten so bad with specialists, poor billing practices, and terrible patient/doctor communication.

He could make the trip to Harrisburg for you to expedite it, but a basic sales contract could cover you in case he doesn’t transfer the title. I basically said in mine I’d take possession of the vehicle (needed trailered), and if he didn’t produce a title to transfer to me within 30 days he refunds the deposit, reimbursed me for lost expenses, and comes and picks it up on his own time and dime. I’m no lawyer, but I’d think it hold up in small claims court, I used a template online to write one out.

Never had any significant issues with my portrait ID for 2 years after turning 21 in PA. However It did get looked over more closely since it was the old design, almost lost it once at a bar/restaurant in NJ at the shore, but that bouncer was being a dick lol.
