I'm looking to save some money on my auto roadside assistance and I found Goodsam. Their prices are much better than AAA's.
I'm wondering if anyone else uses Goodsam and how their service in Rhode Island compares to AAA.
Isn't Goodsam more geared towards RV/camping? AAA service in RI is pretty top notch compared to other places I've used it.
They do cater towards rv and have specific auto vs rv road side assistenze plans.

Have you checked your insurance? Mine includes roadside assistance, if that’s your concern.
Have you had a dmv "reservation"? I went to Woonsocket and didn't even get inside the building until an hour and a half after my appointment.
AAA sucks to work for too
I'd compare the fine print of both contracts.
Looks like Goodsam says "unlimited towing to the Nearest service facility". Which could mean they'll tow you to whatever garage is closest.
The comparably priced AAA plan gets me 100 miles to anywhere. And in RI 100 miles gets you to any mechanic in the State. I ended up using this like 4 times in as many months when we had a lemon Volvo. They towed us all over RI and CT, side of the road to my house, to the dealership, to a random mechanics house in the boonies...no questions asked.
AAA been a member forever, way more than just road service.

AAA gives you much more than roadside. Their pseudo-DMV service alone is worth it, but you can get discounts on all sorts of other shit through them too.
Just make sure the person that has it can get to them if they need a tow. As long as that person is in the car they’ll do it.
Yep, my friend's got an ancient Astro van: only way he can is thanks to AAA, getting towed from all over to Smokey's, his garage of choice.

Good Sam is deccccent. You’re aware why it’s cheaper while you wait for roadside but it’s not that bad. I have it on my tow rig and travel trailer and have used it twice in the mountains. They’ll show up and get you what you need for sure.
Smokey's is a great name for a mechanic, especially for an ancient Astro. Perfect
