Cast Iron pans - - slow low heat

a little olive oil - - and a lot of love

A slice of cheese on top at the end till it melts

sometimes even better than when they were fresh

(Also remember to freeze right away)

I wouldn't bother unless your journey is going to take more than 3 days.

My grandparents freeze and bring me spinach pies in Florida all the time. Perfectly fine and honestly better than any food I could get in my city. I just air fry mine for a few minutes :)

I also recommend trying the pies from Borelli’s Charles St Prov and Solitros Cranston St Cranston. In addition to DePetrillos

Thx for the recommendations. I’m literally doing a round tripper today from Atlanta just to have lunch on Federal Hill and fill a cooler bag with RI staples that I miss so much.
