That's easy. It means anything that does venerate the white Christian males makes us feel uncomfortable.

So? Parents should be involved in their children’s education. Morals should be taught at home not by teachers. Our children are failing in the essentials!

We need to have children reach their full potential. Let's expand AP course offerings, and hold our students to a higher standard. Offer more mathematical courses, such as linear algebra and statistics, in high school.

I think we agree here. I'm just opposed to the culture warriors trying to censor books and restrict freedom of speech.

It's a non-issue being blown into a partisan one for political points. Library usage has been declining for decades. Most kids don't even take out books. If kids are seeing things you think are objectionable, I assure you, it's via their tablets, smartphones, and computers. It's from Reddit, 4chan, Twitter, etc. Not the local library.

Additionally, we should not trample on the First Amendment just because some speech may be objectionable. Going down the road of regulating objectionable speech gives power to the State to use arbitrary measures to censor speech it doesn't like. Sure, you may be okay with this now because the current people in power are those you trust, but you cannot always guarantee this going forward.

Ok then, don't let school dictate what kids should have access to and let those parents make individual decisions for their own children and not others.

There need to be certain ethical and moral baselines for the funtioning of a modern, secular society, and it is the role of public education to ensure that students are able to be fully functioning members of said society.

Fascism is a socioeconomic philosophy based on extreme nationalism, authoritarianism and fusion of political organization with privately owned corporations. It’s intentions are essentially the same as the Laffer curve (which has been thoroughly debunked) that if privately held companies with government direction requiring what would be forced labor would better direct the economy than capitalism, socialism, communism, etc. By taking away the rights of workers and replacing them with authoritarianism under the guise of nationalism then the economy and government would prosper. By definition you would need a scape goat and increasingly paranoid views of anyone outside of your immediate group with whom you identify. Burning books becomes natural as a way to control information and ideology.

Hence you

Ok. If your fascist politician wins it doesn’t make you right. It doesn’t mean you haven’t supported a fascist. It just means you helped a fascist win. Do you understand that just because you support them and they win doesn’t mean they are not fascist? It’s important that you understand that just because you agree with them that it doesn’t mean that they aren’t fascist.

Parents should be involved in their kids education. It doesn't mean they get to tell every parent what is right for their kids too or pitch a fit because the class has a trans kid or the teacher is gay or a book in the library was about a gay person.

The groups pushing these things are astroturfed right wing hate groups that recruit a few lunatics in each district to try and turn it into a wave against people they don't like. Many of the most outspoken people at school board meetings anymore don't even have kids in the school system in that district.

This is all you need to know. Anyone who whines about the “woke” agenda is a miserable asshole. I wish I could say they should be ignored but they’re also dangerous lunatics who need to be stopped.

True, my idea of morals are things like tolerance, acceptance, admitting that bad things have happened in our past, and things like that. All things that are the very antithesis of what Republicans are in favor of.
