Even before they put the split in, the amount of people that hit their brakes under those to overpasses is ridiculous.

Is this an afternoon glare thing? It's counter-intuitive. I'm always speeding up for the second I go under an overpass so that the 1 in a billion chance it collapses is less likely to kill me.

Nah it's all day and night. Every night I leave work it's still happening at 9pm

Sheesh, what a bunch of maroons. Hope they enjoy being crushed by low probability bridge collapses!

Is that a RI/NE thing? Similar... the amount of people I have seen who decide to stop traffic to let someone in or give the right a way to at a non ideal time still blows my mind

But we’re RIslanders, we’re supposed to slam on the breaks at random points on the highway.

The worst is when people are merging off the on ramp and can’t wait to change lanes forcing people to slow down to let them in.

Great advice. When presented with new traffic patterns or unfamiliar roads, definitely accelerate. What could go wrong?

They're not saying accelerate, they're saying don't tap your brakes for no reason, because that's what people are doing.

People tap their breaks to drop out of cruise. Or because unfamiliar road conditions require caution.
